Passion Projects
We in K2PTh have been busy doing research for our Passion Projects. We know that we can get information from various sources, for example, from the internet, looking up books, talking to experts and trying and practicing on our own.The children used a planner to write down what they already know, what they want to know and after research, what they have learned. They have been bringing in photos, drawings, write-ups and recipes from home, while others have been working independently in class on their projects. Next week, if your child wishes to bring in something from home, to support their presentation, please remind them to do so on Monday. Each child will get two minutes or so to do their presentation.

Art
We have started to look at art from different countries and the way that people tell their stories. We watched a traditional 'Dreamtime Story' passed down in the Aboriginal communities of Australia. Then looked at traditional dot paintings and the symbols that are often used. On Friday, the children made their picture frames and next week, they will be painting their own Aboriginal story on paper.Writing Workshop
The children have been making their own poems during Writing Worksop sessions and are truly enjoying them! Here are a few of our finished poems…
