Hundertwasser
In K2PTh, we are getting to know more about different artists and their artistic styles. This week, we were inspired by the famous 20th century artist and architect, Hundertwasser. His theme tied in beautifully with our unit on Shapes and Homes around the world. Here is a link to find out more about him and his work -

Mathematics
In Mathematics, we have continued to explore 2D shapes. We are developing the language and vocabulary to describe and compare 2D shapes and their attributes. The children have worked with the wooden and plastic shapes and Geoboards, using rubber-bands. We have also been sorting shapes according to their properties. Next week, we will continue working on properties of 2D shapes and introduce 3D shapes as well.

Ms Rose’s birthday - Friday 22 November
In K2's, we cannot be accused of not doing things in style! All of K2’s surprised Ms. Rose on Friday morning by collecting at the K2 Pod. We presented her with a bouquet of flowers and a big handmade card. We sang the birthday song in 3 different languages! We wish Ms. Rose an amazing weekend with her family!

We would like the children to create dioramas of different homes from around the world. In order to do this, we will need an empty shoe box from everyone as soon as possible. It would be great if we could have these all in on Monday so that we can make a start. Please feel free to send in more than one box if you have them.
Lastly, a big THANK YOU for your continued support in cooking in K2PTh. We appreciate all the organisation and effort that goes into making these sessions run so smoothly and successfully and it is genuinely appreciated by us and the children. Everyone really looks forward to Tuesday afternoons in the kitchen. I hear the "honey joys" this week were amazing (I was away sick)! Thank you Berna and Rachel and all the parents who have been supporting us in cooking :)
Our swimming session has come to an end and Rose and I want to thank you for taking the time to help us. We are also very lucky to have parents wanting to come and sure their love of reading with the children. Thank you for that!
That's all for this week. Have a lovely weekend!
- Poonam and Rose
