G9 Drama Workshop
Our K2 students were in for a treat this week as they watched G9 students perform drama of familiar children’s tales. The G9's were very creative and showed us how we can use simple props, and light and shadow effectively. The children loved it!
Swimming Pool Challenge
This week, we’ve been busy planning our Swimming Pool Challenge. The four teams discussed their designs, constructed them collaboratively, put the designs on paper, made a list of materials used and recorded their predictions on video. All along in this unit and through this project, the children have been presented with opportunities to think creatively, collaborate, communicate with one another and manage tasks independently and effectively.
The designs executed by the children are both fabulous and practical! A lot of thinking has gone into the designs and next Thursday, they will get to test if the creations work or not. Watch out for our K2PTh blog next week!
Workshare on Wednesday 9th October
The children are very, very excited about our Workshare. You will be participating in our Writers Workshop where you will observe how the children organise themselves for writing and participate in the workshop. Currently, they are working on editing and publishing their stories, so you will also see what this looks like in our classrooms.
We really look forward to seeing you all on the day...please stick to your allocated time slots :)
